Learn how an independent literary magazine functions and the care that goes into each publication! As an intern, you will work alongside our Editor-in-Chief, Layla Zaatreh, and you will receive guidance/feedback throughout the process.
All internships—regardless of position—follow a seasonal schedule. Each term lasts three months, aligned with the production of one issue. Interns typically work 1–3 hours per week. At the end of the term, interns who demonstrate reliability and strong work are invited back for the next season.
Positions Available:
Social Media and Marketing Intern:
Join the Eclipse Social Media and Marketing team! As one of these interns, you will learn how to:
Develop and execute social media strategies to grow our audience and contributors
Curate engaging posts, reels, and stories for Instagram and TikTok
Scout possible contributors via their social media
Collaborate on digital ad campaigns and email newsletters
Editorial Intern
Join the Eclipse Editorial team! As one of these interns, you will learn how to:
Review and edit submissions for grammar, style, and tone
Provide constructive feedback to writers and artists
Assist in curating pieces for each issue
Collaborate with the team to develop editorial themes and features
Graphic Design Intern
Join the Eclipse Graphic Design team! As one of these interns, you will learn how to:
Design magazine covers, promotional materials, and website graphics
Create digital assets for social media and marketing campaigns
Assist with page layout and typography for each issue
Brainstorm creative ways to visually represent our themes
Please keep in mind that this is an educational, volunteer, and unpaid internship designed to offer hands-on experience in literary publishing. It is not an employment opportunity.
All interns will be credited for their work within the edition they worked on.
